The CDC identified the healthcare industry as the second fastest growing sector of the economy. The increase of workers in this industry has brought about an increase in workplace injuries. Back injuries are a common injury that can be felt by everyone, from a nurse to a maintenance man to the staff making beds and delivering meals. In order for a hospital or nursing facility to minimize this risk and keep valuable employees healthy, they need to provide access to the right equipment.
The carts that carry the linens to the patients’ rooms are large and not easily moved in the tight hallways and constricted spaces of a hospital or nursing home. Linen carts are pushed from room to room, but they may be overloaded to cut down on the trips to the linen closet. Unfortunately, these scenarios may also increase the trips to the doctor’s office for the workers who are responsible for those duties.
Instantly eliminate some of the stress associated with these difficult jobs and create a safer work environment for employees with a CartCaddyLite. This electric cart pusher has a tight turning radius and is very easy to maneuver. These versatile pieces of equipment are perfect for use in facilities that are cramped, crowded, or have space constraints.
The CartCaddyLite is designed to have 6 hours of operator use. It comes with a 24-volt system and 2 12-volt batteries. This gives the user plenty of time to use the cart puller.
The variable speed twist is used for both forward and backward directions and ranges between 0-3 mph. This prevents development of carpal tunnel and gives the operator smooth control of maneuvering their load. The CartCaddyLite 3mph max speed allows the operator to efficiently move throughout large facilities, saving time.
The safety stop switch positioned at the back of the handlebar box immediately kills the power, and the machine comes to a rolling stop (about 2 ft.) to prevent any possible injury from operating the device. This feature is a must when buying any piece of cart pulling equipment.
The spring hitch option and customized attachment prevent you from having to fabricate multiple attachments on each of your carts or equipment. The CartCaddyLite’s attachment springs down and upward, attaching firmly and quickly to the bottom of your cart. With the CartCaddyLite connected to the cart, the operator can easily push, pull, or maneuver the cart as they need to.
The CartCaddyLite’s main design is to make maneuvering and pivoting your loads much easier. Once the arm is attached to the equipment, the puller is capable of a full 180-degree pivot. This helps prevent jack-knifing the cart when turning the front of it.
