The CartCaddyShorty cart puller is manufactured for delicate turning and control in tight areas, generally in manufacturing environments, where workers safety and ergonomics are a must. The size and weight of the CartCaddyShorty cart puller make it a perfect solution for carts and equipment that weigh up to 3,000 lbs. The CartCaddyShorty cart puller is commonly used with carts that have two straight and two swivel casters.
The CartCaddyShorty is the smallest, most maneuverable tug available on the market, and it still has plenty of power to handle most push or pull applications. The most common application for this tugger is a cart with two front swivel casters and two straight casters. This cart puller attaches to the swivel caster end and provides the pushing and pulling power necessary for easy turning and intricate maneuvering.
These carts can carry a variety of items, such as a bin full of washers, a flat bed of steel, or a cart full of cookie dough. Regardless of the parts or equipment being pulled or pushed, our battery-powered cart puller has the power to push or pull almost any heavy cart.
The CartCaddyShorty comes standard with a 36-volt system (3 12-volt batteries), designed to give the operator 16-hours of use before recharging. There’s usually plenty of battery life to last two shifts.
The CartCaddyShorty cart puller has a variable speed twist grip to forward and reverse from 0-3 mph. This feature prevents carpal tunnel and allows the operator to maintain smooth control while intricately maneuvering the load. The CartCaddyShorty’s ability to go 3 mph allows the machine to keep up with the operator without frustration from waiting for a slowly operating machine while moving the CartCaddyShorty from point A to B in your facility.
The safety stop switch positioned at the back of the CartCaddyShorty handlebar box immediately kills the power, and the machine comes to a rolling stop (about 2 ft.) to prevent any possible injury from operating the device. The unit will no longer travel backwards, only slowly forward to unpin the operator, if needed. This feature is necessary when buying any piece of equipment.
The spring hitch option and customized puller attachment prevent you from having to fabricate multiple attachments on each of your carts or equipment. The CartCaddyShorty’s attachment springs up and down, attaching firmly and quickly to the bottom of your cart. This allows the operator to easily push, pull, or maneuver the cart.
The CartCaddyShorty is designed for easy maneuvering and pivoting of your loads. After the arm is attached firmly to your carts or equipment, the unit can pivot a full 180 degrees under the arm. This feature allows for turning your loads a full 90 degrees without jack knifing your cart or manually turning the front of your cart.

Linen carts used to transport linens to and from patient rooms are often very large and difficult to move through the constricted hallways of a nursing home, clinic, or hospital. Pushing carts repeatedly throughout the day can cause chronic neck and back strain and pain for workers. The CartCaddyLite is a perfect solution: it reduces stress and cuts down the risk of workplace injuries.
