Standard Unit FAQs

Check to make sure the brake is down in the locked position and that your potentiometer is centered to 2.5kΩ. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

Check the red e-stop button in the center of the handlebar by twisting it to the right a quarter turn. It should pop out 1/4″ and display a green line behind the red push button. You may also need to open the handlebar box and reseat the wires in the e-stop contact block. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

With the key off, open both back panels and disconnect the main positive and negative from the batteries. Locate the red junction block and find wire 36. Follow it up from the ring connector and open up the fuse holder and check across it for continuity. Replace as needed. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

Make sure your potentiometer is centered to 2.5kΩ. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

Plug the unit in and let it charge until it’s fully charged. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

If the charger is showing a check connection error, you will need to grab a regular 12v charger and charge the battery that’s showing an error for about an hour. After the hour, disconnect the 12v charger and plug the onboard charger back in and let it charge up the rest of the way. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

Check the horn wires at the horn and horn fuse on wire 23 coming from the horn. If the horn still will not sound with a new fuse, then the horn may have gone bad and will need to be replaced. To order parts, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

From the motor, follow the motor wires up and disconnect the Delphi plug (weatherproof plug). Check the motor plug for resistance. Resistance should be 1.3Ω. If resistance is good, check your potentiometer for any open spots by checking the red and black wire for resistance and slowly rotating the handlebars forward and backward. Repeat this for the red and white wire. If parts are needed or error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

This is normal. It’s from the unit being strapped down so the unit does not shift in transport. Driving the unit around will allow the foam to expand.

 

Heavy Duty Unit FAQs

  • Code F11: The e-stop is press in or the brake is in the off position.
  • Code F12: The potentiometer is off on startup. Center the potentiometer.
  • Code F15: The unit needs to be charged.
  • Code F20: Inspect the motor brushes, as they may be worn.
  • Code F21: The contactor doesn’t have enough power to pull in the contactor. Charge unit and the code should clear.
  • Code F27: An accessory is active on startup. Make sure horn, lift and air compressor are off.

This means the speed switch is pressed in. The speed switch is located next to the voltmeter. Twist it to the right a 1/4 of a turn. It will pop out and show a green line. The unit is now in high speed and can be confirmed by looking at the voltmeter and seeing the drive hours of the unit. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.

If the unit will not move, check the e-stop. This is the red push button in the center of the handlebar. Twist it to the right 1/4 of a turn, and it will pop out and show a green line. If error persists, fill out the form below to contact our Service department.
